ORCID iD Integration

Distinguish your research identity. Ensure your work is recognized and correctly attributed across the global scientific community.

What is ORCID?

ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) provides a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes you from every other researcher. Through integration in key research workflows such as manuscript and grant submission, it supports automated linkages between you and your professional activities ensuring that your work is recognized.

Unlike other identifiers, ORCID is non-proprietary and platform-agnostic, meaning it travels with you throughout your career regardless of affiliation, name changes, or changes in field of study.

Why African Journal of Tropical Medicine and Biomedical Research Uses ORCID

We are committed to rigorous scholarly standards. Integrating ORCID iDs into our publication workflow allows us to:

  • check Eliminate Name Ambiguity: Ensure that your work is never confused with that of another researcher with a similar name.
  • check Streamline Submissions: Save time during manuscript submission by auto-populating fields from your ORCID record.
  • check Enhance Visibility: Improve the discoverability of your research in international databases that use ORCID registries.

How to Connect

Connecting your ORCID iD is a simple, one-time process. You can link your profile during the manuscript submission process or within your user profile settings on our journal platform.

Requirement for Corresponding Authors

Please note that African Journal of Tropical Medicine and Biomedical Research requires an authenticated ORCID iD for all corresponding authors at the time of manuscript submission. Co-authors are also strongly encouraged to link their profiles.
