It serves as a premier platform for researchers across Africa to share their findings and contribute to the global discourse on tropical medicine and biomedical sciences.

Focus and Scope

AJTMBR is dedicated to disseminating innovative, relevant, and impactful research in all aspects of tropical medicine, biomedical sciences, and related fields. The journal welcomes original research articles, reviews, editorials, commentaries, short reports, case reports, and letters to the editor.

We publish contributions across a broad spectrum of disciplines:

  • check_circle Basic Medical Sciences/Allied Health Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Psychology, Nursing, etc.
  • check_circle Basic Clinical and Clinical Sciences Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dental Surgery, Child Health, Laboratory Sciences, Pharmacology, Radiology, Community Medicine, etc.
  • check_circle Social Sciences & Health Research exploring the socio-economic and environmental determinants of health, particularly in the African context.

We prioritize research that applies the principles of primary health care in the prevention and treatment of diseases in Africa, emphasizing public health, disease control, and health system strengthening.

Peer Review Process

AJTMBR employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensuring the integrity and quality of published work. Upon submission, manuscripts are screened by the editorial team for compliance with the journal's scope and guidelines.

AJTMBR is published biannually in July and December.

In addition to regular issues, the journal may publish special issues devoted to specific themes or conference proceedings.
